MOSCOW, JUL 03 - The Russian economy could have cost over 5 billion dollars the two extra non-working days introduced by the authorities for the military parade of Victory and for the vote on the constitutional reform that could keep Putin in the Kremlin until 2036: say analysts questioned by the Moscow Times.
Vladimir Putin chose June 24 as a day to celebrate 75 years of the end of the Second World War this year and to carry out the now traditional maxi parade on Red Square that could not be held on May 9, Victory Day, in cause of the Covid-19 epidemic. Also July 1 in Russia was a non-working day because it was the last of the seven days to vote for the plebiscite for the constitutional reform which, among other things, could allow Putin to circumvent the limit of two consecutive mandates from head of state and also run for the presidential elections of 2024 and 2030.
