SYDNEY, JUN 6 - Tens of thousands of Australians have ignored calls to stay home to avoid the risk of coronavirus infection and have taken to the streets to participate in Back Lives Matter protests for George Floyd.
The demonstrations took place in all the main cities of the country, from Melbourne to Sydney where the day before yesterday a court had declared the protest for health reasons illegal (sentence then canceled by an appeal court a few minutes before the start of the march ).
The protesters brandished signs that read "I can't breathe", "Same story, different terrain".
