ROME, FEBRUARY 25 - The Hong Kong authorities have extended the closure of schools until at least April 20 to try to contain the spread of the coronavirus: Al Arabiya reports.
The city's Secretary of Education, Kevin Yeung, has announced that the suspension of lessons will be extended until after the Easter holidays: the schools will therefore reopen as soon as possible on April 20 compared to March 16 previously scheduled.
In Hong Kong, two victims and 81 confirmed coronavirus cases have so far been recorded. Yesterday, the former colony announced that it will block the arrival of non-resident South Koreans in response to the growing spread of the virus in the country (8 deaths and 893 confirmed cases).
