BEIJING, 15 NOV. - For the fifth day in a row, thousands of people are filling the streets of Hong Kong in the financial heart of Central and the nearby area of Tai Koo, taking advantage of the lunch break. Many employees of offices and various activities joined the protesters, mostly students dressed in black and with a face covered by a mask, chanting slogans as the most symbolic of the "five requests, not one less", related to the platform of the movement submitted to the governor Carrie Lam, which also includes universal suffrage. Within a few minutes, Pedder Street, the heart of Central, was filled with white-collar workers who expressed solidarity by joining anti-government demonstrations and helping to block the streets in the lunch break. In recent days, the police also intervened with tear gas to disperse the crowd. Those of Central and Tai Koo are the main initiatives in numerous events that are taking place today throughout the city.
