Brazil: 17 narco killed in clashes

ROME, OCTOBER 30 - The death toll from a firefight with the Brazilian military police in Manaus is 17. Local media reports. The traffickers belonged to the Northern Family, one of the most important drug cartels in the country.
About 50 armed men, police report, have attempted to take control of some suburbs in the southern area of Manaus. When the officers arrived, they opened fire, engaging in violent shooting with the police. No agent is injured.
