LONDON, OCTOBER 16 - The British government excludes the closure of a Brexit agreement in Brussels tonight, but technical negotiations will continue indefinitely in the coming hours and until the start of tomorrow's European Council. The media reports refer it to sources from Downing Street.
Furthermore, London still seems to hope that a text of understanding, at least political if not legal, can be defined in the next few hours, in time for the EU summit.
"We are working. We are working". Thus the EU chief negotiator Michel Barnier leaving the meeting with the ambassadors of the 27, to the journalists asking for news specifying that there is still work to be done.
