NEW YORK, SEPTEMBER 23 - Thomas Cook, the British tour operator with 178 years of history behind him, calls for judicial liquidation. The company announced it in a note, underlining that "all future flights and future vacations are canceled". Despite the tight negotiations, Thomas Cook failed to reach an agreement with the creditors and this triggered the request for bankruptcy. With the liquidation, Thomas Cook puts 22,000 jobs at global level, of which 9,000 in Great Britain.
