ROME, SEPTEMBER 15 - British Prime Minister Boris Johnson promises that London will leave the European Union "as Hulk would do", the green superhero of Marvel with irrepressible force, while reiterating that "enormous progress" has been made in talks between the United Kingdom and the EU.
In an interview with the Mail on Sunday on the eve of his meetings with European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker and EU chief negotiator Michel Barnier, the prime minister said he was "very confident" about reaching an agreement of 'divorce' at the European summit on 17 October, in time for the date set for the Brexit, 31 October.
In the interview he compares Great Britain to the Hulk: "The more he gets angry, the more Hulk becomes strong. And he always manages to escape, no matter how imprisoned he seems. The same is true for this country", he explained.
