WASHINGTON, SEPTEMBER 8 - US President Donald Trump announced on Twitter that he had canceled a secret meeting that was to be held today at Camp David with the Taliban leaders and, separately, with Afghan President Ashraf Ghani. A meeting of which very few would have been aware and which, in the tycoon's intentions, could have entered history, paving the way once and for all for the peace agreement with the Pashtun rebels who once housed and supported the mind of the attacks of 11 September, Osama bin Laden. The president's decision after the Taliban claimed Thursday's attack in Kabul in which 12 people were killed, including an American soldier: Sergeant Elis A. Barreto Ortiz, originally from Puerto Rico, identified by the Pentagon in the past few hours . The fourth US military fell in Afghanistan in two weeks.
