WASHINGTON, AUGUST 20 - Jeffrey Epstein signed a will two days before taking his own life. This was revealed by the New York Post, citing documents presented at a Manhattan court. The document is dated August 8, 2019 and was deposited in the US Virgin Islands, the archipelago where Epstein owned two private islands. The financier was found dead suicide in the cell on the morning of 10 August.
The will is a standard 21-page text called '0pour-over will', which provides for everything to be paid to a trust fund called 'The 1953', the financier's year of birth. The only heir indicated is his brother Mark Epstein, also an investor and once a partner of Jeffrey. The date of the signature suggests that Epstein was probably already planning to kill himself and wanted to put everything in place before the gesture.
