ROME, AUGUST 20 - British Prime Minister Boris Johnson and US President Donald Trump discussed Brexit and the US-UK free trade agreement during a phone call last night ahead of a G7 summit in France this weekend.
"Great discussion with Johnson. We talked about Brexit and how to proceed quickly with a free trade agreement. I look forward to meeting with Boris this weekend at the G7 in France," tweeted Trump.
A spokesman for Johnson's office - the international media reported - said the two leaders "discussed economic issues and trade relations and the prime minister updated the president on Brexit. The leaders are waiting to meet at the summit this weekend ".
