WASHINGTON, AUGUST 15 - At least six policemen were hit in a shootout in Nicetown, north of Philadelphia, where law enforcement officers are still struggling with at least one armed man.
The whole area is in lockdown and at least one person would have been arrested.
The shooting would be linked according to local media to an operation by the police anti-narcotics team. It would therefore not be a question of terrorism, nor of an episode similar to the recent mass shooting in El Paso and Dayton.
Some sources speak of an ambush after a call to the anti-drug department. The agents affected were slightly injured and no one is in danger of death.
