ROME, JULY 9 - "The ship Alan Kurdi has rescued 44 people from a wooden boat in cooperation with the Maltese authorities. A ship from the Malta Navy is on its way to transfer people and bring them to the ground." The German NGO Sea-Eye, which runs Alan Kurdi, announces it on Twitter.
Among the 44 people recovered there are four women and three children. The rescued migrants claimed to have been traveling by sea since Saturday and had run out of fuel.
