MOSCOW, JULY 8 - A court in Moscow has ordered to extend house arrest for US financier Michael Calvey until October 13th. The Interfax agency reported.
Calvey, founder and senior partner of private equity firm Baring Vostok Capital, was arrested in February along with five others on the charge of illegally stealing $ 37 million from Vostochny Bank, controlled by Baring Vostok. However, the financier says he is innocent and claims that the charges serve to put pressure on him in a dispute over control of the bank.
