WASHINGTON, 6 JULY - The earthquake that struck southern California could cause economic losses of at least a billion dollars, just under 1% of the US GDP: it is the estimate of the US Geological Survey (USgs) the scientific agency of the American government that studies the territory of the United States, its natural resources and the natural risks that threaten it. Usgs also announced that the quake occurred at a depth of 17 km.
