TEL AVIV, 13 JUNE - 'Ramat Trump' this is the name chosen by the Israeli government for the town on the Golan, dedicated, at the behest of Prime Minister Benyamin Netanyahu, to the US president, after his recognition in recent months of Israeli sovereignty over the Golan.
The name - which in Hebrew means 'The Trump Heights' - will be ratified in a special session of the government scheduled for next Sunday.
The new town is in practice an extension of the current town of Bruchim, a suburb of Kela Alon, in the northern part of the Heights not far from Katzrin and Kiryat Shmona.
The name was chosen by the Committee as "an expression of gratitude for its actions for the good of the state of Israel in its entirety and in particular in the Golan".
