TEHRAN, 6 JUNE - "Iran seeks security in the region and has no intention of coming into conflict with other countries in the region and in the world, but if someone makes some imprudent move, Iran's response will undoubtedly repent" . Iranian President Hassan Rohani said this in a telephone conversation with the emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al Thani, cited by Irna. Tehran believes that the problems should not be solved either by military confrontation or by threats, economic sanctions or boycotts, he added, also in reference to that imposed two years ago by Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Egypt precisely against Doha. Iran, its president assured, will continue to support Qatar in this confrontation. Rohani also accused Riyadh and the Emirates of the Yemen conflict, calling their "harmful" approaches to the region. For his part, al Thani agreed that "the negotiations are the only way out of the existing tensions in the region".
