BERLIN, 03 JUNE - The SPD congress should be held in December from which the new leader of the German Social Democrats will be elected following the resignation of Andrea Nahles. The latter formalized its resignation today in the national direction. He handed over the hands of the three commissioners who temporarily take over the leadership of the party just 13 months after his election with a brief letter to the members of the management and explained that he intends to withdraw completely from politics. His position as leader of the SPD will be taken by the current vice-president of the group, Rolf Mützenich.
