ROME, MAY 29 - At least 12 people were injured yesterday in the state of Kansas due to various tornadoes that have cut down trees and light poles, damaging numerous homes along the way.
The destruction in Kansas follows the devastating effects of the tornadoes that had struck Indiana and Ohio a few hours before, causing at least one death and 130 wounded.
The town of Lawrence is particularly affected, located about 65 km west of Kansas City (Missouri), with most of the wounded. Damages have also been reported in Linwood, Bonner Springs and Pleasant Grove, also in Kansas.
