LONDON, 24 MAY - Britain will have a new premier by the date of the Parliament's summer withdrawal, set according to the Westminster calendar for 24 July. The announcement was made in a note by the President of the Conservative Party and the leaders of the 1922 Committee, the executive body of the parliamentary group, setting the time for the election of Theresa May's successor as Tory leader and to follow as prime minister.
May announced his resignation on June 7th today.
