CARACAS, MAY 9 - Juan Guaidó, the self-proclaimed opposition leader who is Venezuela's interim president, denounced that the Bolivarian Intelligence Service (Sebin) has "kidnapped" the vice president of the National Assembly (AN). In a tweet, Guaidó warned: "We alert the people of Venezuela and the international community that the regime has kidnapped Edgar Zambrano".
The complaint of the police operation was made by the deputy Oscar Rondero, leader of the Acción Democrática party, according to which at the arrival of the Zambrano police refused to get out of his car and the Sebin agents then used a crane to take him away to the El Helicoide prison. Zambrano is one of the seven deputies to whom the Constituent National Assembly (Anc) revoked immunity two days ago for having participated in the April 30 military raid attempt.
