BRUSSELS, 7 MAY - The legislative elections in Denmark to renew the 179 seats of the Parliament will be held on 5 June. Premier Lars Loekke Rasmussen announced it. According to recent polls, the opposition center-left coalition would be ahead of the center-right coalition that includes the Danish anti-migrant People's Party. Rasmussen, who leads the Liberals, has been in power since 2015. In November 2016 he formed a coalition with the Conservatives, but in order to have a majority he had to rely on the support of the Anti-Migrant Party. The governing coalition has adopted restrictive rules on migrants and asylum seekers.
