PARIS, APRIL 08 - France was in no way aware of the intentions of the Libyan general Khalifa Haftar to march towards Tripoli and assures that he had no "secret plan" in this regard: this is what a French diplomatic source said, reiterating the support of Paris to the legitimate government of Fayez al Serraj. "The urgency in Libya is to protect the civilian population, get the ceasefire and put the Libyan actors around the table," the source explained, assuring that France was in no way aware of General Haftar's intentions and denying any "secret plan" or "double game" by Paris. On the contrary, assure French sources, the intention is "to continue to put the Serraj government at the center of the game and try to reach the end of the political process negotiated in Abu Dabi" at the end of February.
