STRASBOURG, MARCH 12 - The European Parliament "expresses its deep concern" about the risks to IT security deriving from the 5G networks developed by Chinese companies and launches a warning to the Member States so that there is "a coordinated EU response". This is the position expressed in a resolution presented by the Alde, S&D, PPE and Verdi groups and approved by a show of hands by the plenary. MEPs call on Member States to "refrain from introducing disproportionate unilateral measures that would fragment the single market".
