PARIGII two-month-old yellow waistcoats dominate the French political scene. What to do with this capital? How to turn sensational media shots such as the attack on ministry and burning cars in the heart of Paris into effective political action? On the one hand, some protesters try to give structure to the revolt, and yesterday they founded in Marseille Gilets jaunes, the mouvement, a horizontal movement where the citizen will decide everything. On the other hand there are the traditional politicians, antisystem but contiguous to it for decades - as the former socialist minister Jean-Luc Mélenchon (2000-2002) or Marine Le Pen - who try to ride the protest in the hope of weakening President Macron and earn votes in the spring European elections.
