ROME, DECEMBER 23 - At least 20 people died and more than 160 were injured as a result of a tsunami that struck the beaches around Sunda Strait, the sea strait in Indonesia that separates the islands of Java and Sumatra. The local press reports it, citing the data provided by the authorities.
According to some media reports, the tsunami may have been caused by the strong activity of the Krakatoa volcano.
