LONDON, 11 DEC - The May government plans to re-propose the vote of ratification by the British Parliament on the Brexit agreement - expected today, but postponed at the last minute to avoid its rejection - "before January 21st" 2019. This was confirmed by a a spokesman for Downing Street, while the premier is preparing to try to get some "additional reassurance" from Brussels on the controversial backstop: the theoretical but binding guarantee mechanism on the safeguarding of an open border between Ireland and Northern Ireland.
